Manchester City are preparing for an important new match, when they host the Ukrainian team Shakhtar Donetsk, at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday evening, November 26, 2019, 29 Rabi I 1441, in the framework of the fifth round of the group stage of the Champions League.
Pep Guardiola’s squad secured a place in the final with 10 points, but this is a very important game for them to secure the lead and, by extension, to get an easier draw with a runner-up.
At the same time, the game is of utmost importance to the Ukrainian team, who are seeking to win for a place in the round of 16, especially in light of the fierce competition that brings them to Dynamo Zagreb, where they each have 5 points.
Guardiola is not happy with his side’s draw against Atlanta, while Shakhtar will enter the game with a goal to win and nothing else, no matter how level the difference between them and City.
German international Leroy Sani is missing because of a cruciate ligament injury, as well as Benjamin Mende, for the same reason. Claudio Bravo will miss the dismissal against Atlanta, and the rest are ready for the match.
Guardiola is expected to start the game in the usual way with the team since the beginning of the season, and will be paired Emerick Laporte and Nicolas Otamendi in the center of the defense, and in the attacking trio Bernardo Silva, Rahim Sterling and Sergio Aguero.
